Land Ahoy!

The story continues… An irate gentleman arrived at reception demanding to speak to the Duty Manager.  Apparently he was disgusted that the hotel had replaced his wife during the middle of the night for another woman.  Well, you can imagine the complex and delicate situation that our duty manager faced whilst listening to this particular complaint - not an easy one to handle!  It turned out that our dear guest suffered from Alzheimer’s. Being in the hospitality industry naturally we apologised for our error, contacted his wife and informed her what had happened. He was delighted that had found his wife and that we quickly rectified the situation. So a simple story of how we go that extra mile for our guests.

I had the pleasure of an invite to a Naming and Dedication of a new tug for A&P Falmouth Docks today and being St Piran’s Day, the tug was aptly named St. Piran.  All the usual dignatories were there (not that I am one of them) and the naming ceremony was carried out by Ann Trudgen, Consort to the Mayor of Falmouth who christened the tug with our very own Cornish Camel Valley Sparkling Wine.  It’s amazing that when you accidentally drop a bottle of alcohol it smashes but when you want it to smash intentionally it never does and on the fourth attempt St Piran was christened!

Tune in next time and see the hotel from a cat’s point of view - yes our very own house cat Mystery.
