The Falmouth Hotel will host the Cornwall Baby Fair on 31st March and 1st April 2012. Last year's event was such a success that it's been brought back - bigger and better than before! The event opens at 10am and entry is £1 per person.

Falmouth Finn Festival

Sailing fans will be delighted to hear that two exciting Finn championships are benig held in Falmouth this year.

First will be the Finn UK Open Nationals, which will be held 4th - 8th May 2012 and then the Finn Gold Cup on 13th - 18th May 2012. Excitement will be running high, particularly at the Finn Gold Cup, which is not only the annual World Championship for this dinghy class but will also be a qualifier for this year's Olympic Games.

Falmouth Food & Drink Week

The Falmouth Food & Drink Week runs from 4th - 11th February 2012 and is a celebration of Falmouth's food and drink scene.

The organisers have teamed up with a host of Falmouth's foodie venues (including the Falmouth Hotel, of course) to provide some great food offers throughout the week.

At The Falmouth, we're delighted to be part of the event and we're offering two courses from our Lounge Bar menu for just £10 per person! We have a delicious Lounge Bar menu, serving from 12 noon - 10pm, offering everything from cheese-smothered nachos, Rib Eye steak and cottage pie to a selection of sandwiches, house salads and tempting treats. Falmouth Spring Festival

The Falmouth Spring Festival (17th - 25th March) is back for 2012! This massively popular event focuses on celebrating the fabulous open spaces, gardens and scenery around Falmouth.

It will take place at various venues in the town - just a brisk stroll from The Falmouth - and surrounding areas. It will include events, walks, talks, exhibitions and performances, together with other planned activities.

Christmas Brewery Yard Fair

The fantastic Christmas Brewery Yard Fair will be held in Old High Street, Falmouth on Saturday 10th December.

With hot toddies and roasted chestnuts to keep you warm, you can stroll around a selection of stalls that feature local produce, crafts and other unique gifts. Falmouth Christmas Festival

Visit Falmouth in the lead-up to Christmas and soak up the atmosphere of the wonderful Christmas Festival, due to be held on 15th - 18th December on Discovery Quay.

Just a few minutes' walk from The Falmouth Hotel, this fabulous four day festival of food, drink and shopping promises to be a real treat. Discovery Quay will be transformed into a Christmas market, with carol singing, Santa's grotto and street theatre peformances throughout the weekend. An idyllic location for a spot of last minute Christmas shopping! Visitors will be able to stock up on beautiful, locally-produced gifts and food - everything needed for the Christmas festivities.

Renowed TV chef, Rick Stein, will be headlining the Food Theatre and a Cornish Food & Drink market will take centre stage at the festival. The Food Theatre will play host to a series of seasonal food demonstrations, by great local chefs, supported by BBC Radio Cornwall.

City of Lights in Truro

Each year, the fantastic City of Lights parade is held in Truro, just a few miles from Falmouth. The focus of the parade is the beautiful giant lanterns, often with moving parts, each carried by several people.

This year, it will be held on Wednesday 16th November, and the event is considered to be one of the highlights leading up to Christmas. This year the theme will be ‘Wildlife’ to celebrate Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s 50^th anniversary. Find out more HERE.
