With its mild Mediterranan climate, deep water harbour and surrounding creeks and estuaries, Falmouth is a perfect location for a break.  Aside from the many sights and attractions in and around Falmouth, its situation makes exploring further afield in any direction easy - the rugged Lizard Peninsula, St Michael's Mount, St Ives, and Land's End are all within comfortable driving distance. 

Given its vast natural harbour and reputation as a sailing haven, water sports abound for beginners and pros alike.  There are boat trips available to explore the coast and view the varied marine life in and around Falmouth. 

Falmouth also has a cultural and artistic side where you can learn more of Cornish life and history.  It has a vibrant arts scene with theatre, a Literary Festival, lots of galleries, museums and historic buildings.
